Suan Sunandha Opens the Gateway to a Digital University with a Grand Orientation for the 2026 Freshman Class

Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University hosted a grand orientation ceremony for the incoming freshman class of the 2026 academic year. Held under the theme "Digital University: Your Future Starts Here," the event took place at the Grand Auditorium, 4th Floor of the Suan Sunandha Health and Sports Center Building in Bangkok. Organized by the Student Activities and Alumni Affairs Department under the Student Development Division, the orientation aimed to prepare new students academically, socially, and digitally for campus life while instilling pride as they officially became members of the Suan Sunandha family.

Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, presided over the ceremony to deliver a warm welcome address. Joining her on stage were executive administrators, vice presidents, assistant presidents, deans, faculty members, and university staff who gathered to give the freshmen a unified welcome.

In her welcoming speech, the President stated, “Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University warmly welcomes all new students into our family. I wish for every student to enjoy their university life, embrace new experiences, and stay committed to unlocking their full potential throughout their academic journey.”

She further emphasized, "The university is dedicated to nurturing our students in every dimension—academically, through professional skill development, leadership building, activity-based learning, and the integration of digital technologies. This ensures they can step into the professional world and navigate the 21st century with absolute confidence."

In her closing remarks, the President added that the event's theme reflects the university’s mission to develop graduate professionals who possess both knowledge and high moral character. Equipped with future-proof skills, they are trained to meet the demands of society and the digital era, perfectly aligning with Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University's vision of being a "Leader in Creating Professionals" who drive the nation forward and compete globally.

The formal segment of the event was masterfully hosted by Assistant Professor Dr. Nataporn Rattanachaiwong, a faculty member from the Performing Arts and Creative Entrepreneurship Program, alongside Lecturer Ratipat Siripong from the Thai Dance Program, both under the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts. Their engaging presentation added vibrant energy and left a lasting impression throughout the day.

A major highlight of the event was a massive lucky draw featuring top-tier and special prizes, joined by renowned Thai artists Art Marut and Wan Thanakrit, who brought immense joy, laughter, and entertainment up close to the freshmen.

The orientation also featured an inspirational panel discussion titled "Tales of Two Generations... to Your Future," where successful alumni and senior students from various fields shared their experiences. The speakers included:

• Mr. Chaiwat Jaroonrat, former President of the Student Organization for the 2024 academic year and an English Program graduate from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Graduating with an outstanding GPA of 3.96, he shared his experience as he prepares to join Qatar Airways in Doha, Qatar.
• Mr. Arkom Kwannet (Gandam LE7EL), a third-year student in the Communication Design Program, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, who rose to fame in the entertainment industry through the reality show LAZ iCON, successfully making it into the official debut lineup.
• Mr. Muhammad Kaifan, a fourth-year student in the Social Studies Program, Faculty of Education, who serves as the Vice President of the Children and Youth Council of Thailand, a UNICEF Youth Advisory Panel (YPAB) member, founder of the "Oh Mue Cho Poe" Youth Network, and recipient of the National Outstanding Children and Youth Award. He shared his journey of balancing academics, extracurricular activities, and self-development to achieve national success.

The panel was smoothly moderated by Ms. Nattakrita Han-nuek, an English major from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Mr. Porawat Thongmak, a Law student from the Faculty of Law, who captured the warm, friendly essence of campus life.

The orientation concluded beautifully with a mini-concert performed by music students from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, whose melodies and songs ensured a well-rounded, warm, and memorable welcome for the new freshmen.

Representing the freshman class, Ms. Pinyada Chainarong (Pin), a first-year Political Science student from the College of Politics and Government, shared her impressions: "I felt touched from the very first step I took into the university. The warm welcome from the executives, professors, and seniors gave me the confidence and readiness to start my college life."

"The university atmosphere is lush, beautiful, and holds a unique charm as a former royal palace ground. It's fully equipped with amenities, dining options, convenience stores, and dedicated learning spaces. It truly feels like a university perfectly built for living and learning," she added.

Ms. Pinyada also mentioned that she was initially anxious about adapting to a new social environment. However, participating in the orientation washed those fears away as everyone was incredibly welcoming. She made many new friends, received valuable advice from her seniors, and felt that choosing Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University was a decision that completely exceeded her expectations.

This grand orientation vividly reflects Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University's overarching vision to transition into a "Digital University of the Future."
