On August 23–24, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Student Development Division, through the Student Activities and Alumni Affairs Section, organized annual health check-ups for second-year students (Class of 2024) at the Suan Sunandha Health and Sports Center, 4th Floor. This initiative is part of the university’s commitment to SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being, under the Happy8 program for sustainable health.
Assistant Professor Dr.
Somsak Klaysang, Vice President
for Student Affairs, stated:
"Suan Sunandha
Rajabhat University places great
importance on the quality of life and
good health. When students maintain good
physical health, it positively impacts
mental well-being and overall wellness,
fostering sustainable
happiness."
He
added:
"This annual
health check-up provides students with
preliminary health assessments,
including screening for potential
illnesses or abnormalities. The program
aims to promote preventive care, enhance
overall health, and ensure students
receive timely medical attention if any
issues are detected."
The check-ups included weight and height measurements, blood pressure readings, blood tests, internal health assessments by physicians, vision checks, urine tests, cervical cancer screenings for female students, and mammogram screenings for breast cancer. A large number of students participated in the screenings.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, which aims to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. It also supports the concept of promoting happiness in life and work, as reflected in the Happy8 Workplace initiative – Happy Body, which emphasizes physical and mental well-being. This initiative follows the guidelines of the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to foster sustainable health and happiness.
