Suan Sunandha Sends 110 Athletes to Compete in the 50th University Games

Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through the Student Development Division's Sports and Health Promotion Department, held a ceremony to encourage and provide guidance to its athletes participating in the 50th University Games, "Thammasat Games". The event took place at the Chor Kaew Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Building 31, with Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriwiboon, the university president, presiding over the event to deliver policies and words of encouragement to the Suan Sunandha athletes.

Assistant Professor Dr. Somsak Klaisang, Vice President for Student Affairs, presented the objectives of the competition, which will be held from January 9 to 18, 2025, at Thammasat University's Rangsit Campus, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. Assistant Professor Dr. Thuwathida Suwanrat, Assistant to the Vice President for Student Affairs, along with Mr. Niphon Chaiprukthon, Director of the Student Development Division, and staff members, also attended to show their support for the athletes.

Before the competition, the athletes paid homage to the Statue of Her Royal Highness Princess Sunandha Kumariratana to seek blessings and good fortune.

This year, Suan Sunandha has sent a delegation of 181 participants, competing against 110 institutions nationwide in 12 sports disciplines, including:

  • Volleyball
  • Futsal
  • Jujitsu
  • E-sports
  • Pencak Silat
  • Taekwondo
  • Board Games
  • Amateur Boxing
  • Frisbee
  • Golf
  • Rowing

The competition will be broadcast live on AIS PLAY from January 9 to 18, 2025, with highlights and replays available for fans to enjoy.
