"Chawanwit" from Suan Sunandha's Sports Management Innovation Program Triumphs as Thai League 3 Player of the Year, Eyes Future National Senior Team Call-Up
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University proudly extends its warmest congratulations to Mr. Chawanwit Sae-lao (Safe), a second-year student in the Sports Management Innovation Program at the College of Innovation and Management.
Chawanwit has brought immense pride to the university and the Thai football community after winning the prestigious "Thai Player of the Season Award" for Thai League 3 (2025/2026 season). The accolade was presented at the SSLL AWARD 2026 ceremony, held on June 26, 2026, at the TK. Palace Hotel & Convention on Chaeng Watthana Road, Bangkok.
The event was organized by the "Lower League Dignity" (Saksee League Lang) Facebook page in partnership with the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) and the "Love Sports, Cheer Sports, No Gambling" Facebook network. The awards aim to honor standout Thai League 3 footballers while inspiring and driving the development of Thai players toward higher competitive stages.
Currently a member of the Thailand National Under-23 Football Team, Chawanwit plays as a versatile forward and midfielder for Prime Bangkok FC in Thai League 3, covering positions as an attacking midfielder, striker, and both left and right winger, wearing the No. 8 jersey.
Throughout the 2025/2026 Thai League 3 season, "Safe" delivered a masterclass performance, netting 16 goals for Prime Bangkok FC to secure the tournament's first runner-up top scorer spot. His pivotal role successfully propelled his team to clinch the Thai League 3 Central Region Championship and advance to the Champions League round.
His exceptional form has garnered national attention. In addition to his current status as a Thailand U23 international, he has been named in the 50-player provisional squad by Anthony Hudson, the head coach of the Thailand National Senior Team. He is now in contention for the final 23-man roster for the upcoming 2026 ASEAN Championship.
