Bangkok – Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through the Student Discipline and Health Promotion Section of the Student Development Division, organized a specialized training seminar titled "Young Buddy Gen: Caring for Family Elders as Gen Z" under the project "Elderly Care Learning, Intergenerational Communication, and Practical Caregiving Skills." The event aimed to enhance students' essential caregiving competencies, foster mutual understanding, and cultivate positive relationships across generations.
The workshop took place on September 25, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Chokaew Meeting Room, 5th Floor, Building 31, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok. Assigned by Asst. Prof. Dr. Somsak Klaysung, Vice President for Student Affairs, Mr. Nipon Chaipheaketthol, Director of the Student Development Division, presided over the opening ceremony. The event drew active participation from over 200 students.
The seminar featured guest speaker Asst. Additionally, Ms. Rosaree Sanjuan, CEO of Go Mamma and founder of the Young Buddy initiative, honored the event with her presence.
The training emphasized experiential learning and hands-on practice, empowering students to expand their understanding of senior care alongside essential skills in cross-generational communication, basic nursing care, teamwork, and public-mindedness. This initiative prepares students to adapt effectively to an aging society, enabling them to apply the acquired knowledge and practical insights to their studies, future careers, and daily lives.
Furthermore, the session served as a collaborative learning platform for participants to exchange perspectives, build network connections, and recognize the vital role of elderly care within families and society, laying the foundation for a harmonious, supportive intergenerational community.
