
Enhancing
Students’ Skills and Knowledge to
Help Save Patients with
Epilepsy
On February 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Room 26103, Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University—through the Division of Student Development, Student Discipline and Well-being Affairs—collaborated with the Neurological Institute of Thailand, Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health, to organize a Facebook Live seminar titled “Epilepsy: More Than Just Seizures.”
Assistant Professor Dr. Somsak Klai-sang, Vice President for Student Affairs, assigned Assistant Professor Dr. Thuwathida Suwanrat, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs, to deliver the welcome address to the executives and staff of the Neurological Institute, as well as the students attending the seminar.
The event was officially opened by Dr. Thanin Vetchaphinan, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Medical Services.
Key lecture topics included:
- “What Is a Seizure?”
- “Unusual Real Seizure Symptoms You May Have Never Seen”
- “Teenagers and Epilepsy”
The lectures were delivered by Dr. Panisara Sudajan, Dr. Thinnakorn Yadee, Dr. Chonphiwat Tripong, Dr. Supasit Chiaorattanaphan, Dr. Apimit Rojanawatthanasirivej, and Dr. Yada Pongkarnjana.
In addition, a hands-on training session on “First Aid for Patients with Epilepsy” was conducted by professional nurses: Prapai Boonycharoenlert, Salinee Thaithawat, Preedaporn Jansri, Janyarak Supat, Bualuang Wimutkul, Tueanjai Sin-ampaipisit, Sirinthip Nilangkarn, Somporn Ngamkom, and Pamin Kongkha.
The event attracted a large number of students who were eager to gain practical knowledge and skills that they can apply beneficially in real-life situations.
