SSRU Student Representatives Join “InnoSpark” Innovation Program to Foster Graduate Quality through Multi-Institutional Network

On June 11, 2025, Ms. Rungarut Phattanaklan, representative from the Alumni Relations Unit, Division of Student Activities and Alumni Affairs, Student Development Division of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), led student representatives from the SSRU Student Organization to participate in the “InnoSpark: Igniting Innovation” Program. The event was hosted by King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing, under the 9-Institution Student Activity Network for Graduate Quality Development.

The program was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Thanin Silcharu, President of KMUTNB, and was designed to enhance student innovation, foster Design Thinking skills, and promote teamwork, responsibility, leadership, and collaboration among student leaders across institutions.

The activities included:

• Workshops on Design Thinking for innovation development
• Field visits to KMUTNB’s advanced facilities including:
  • Technology and Innovation for Automotive Operations Center
  • Railway Technology and Innovation Center
  • Radar Technology Operation Center
• Idea Development and Innovation Prototyping Activities
• Pitching Ideas Sessions
• Reflection and Experience-Sharing Activities

Participating institutions in the 9-member network include:

2. Marine Merchant Training Center
3. Srisavarindhira Thai Red Cross Institute of Nursing
4. Huachiew Chalermprakiet University
5. Siam University
6. Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University
7. Rajamangala University of Technology Phra Nakhon
8. King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok
9. Geoland Institute of Technology

This initiative is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4):
"Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all", with a strong emphasis on promoting access to quality education at all levels.
