
Merit-Making Ceremony in Commemoration of King Rama VI and Princess Phetcharat (2025)
On Monday morning, November 24, 2025, at 7:00 AM, at the Office of the President Building, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok, the Student Development Division, through the Student Activities and Alumni Affairs Section, organized a merit-making ceremony to dedicate royal merit in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the death of His Majesty King Vajiravudh (King Rama VI) and the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda Sirisobhabannavadi, Princess of Nakhon Pathom (Maha Thiraratthida).
The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, together with university executives, staff members, and students who attended the ceremony in unison. On this occasion, the University was honored by the presence of 10 monks from Wat Ratchathiwat Viharn, who officiated the religious rites.
In the morning session, breakfast offerings were presented to the monks. This was followed by the President lighting incense sticks and candles to pay homage to the Triple Gem, as well as lighting ceremonial incense and candles. The monks then chanted Buddhist prayers.
Subsequently, university executives and honored guests participated in the offering of the Mahabangsakul cloth, presented monk requisites and donations, and received blessings for good fortune and prosperity.
Later, at approximately 8:30 AM, a large number of executives, staff, and students also took part in making additional merit by offering rice, dry food, and drinking water to the monks, further fostering auspiciousness and goodwill.
