Suan Sunandha Student Sasipapron Janthawisut Joins Thailand Women's Volleyball Team to Secure Asian Championship Title and Historic First LA28 Olympic Qualification

Ms. Sasipapron Janthawisut ("Aomsin"), a Political Science student at the College of Politics and Governance, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, achieved a major career milestone as part of the Thailand national women's volleyball team.

Starting in the main lineup, Sasipapron contributed to Thailand's 3-2 victory over host nation China in the final of the 2026 AVC Women's Volleyball Continental Championship in Tianjin, People's Republic of China, on August 30, 2026.

Sasipapron served as a key player alongside national team regulars, including Pornpun Guedpard, Pimpichaya Kokram, Chatchu-on Moksri, Thatdao Nuekjang, and Kaewkalaya Kamulthala, under head coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkrai.

In the championship match, Thailand overcame a 1-2 set deficit to defeat China 3-2 (25-20, 11-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-10). This victory marks Thailand's fourth Asian Championship title—following victories in 2009, 2013, and 2023—and secures the team's first-ever qualification for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, United States.

Additionally, by advancing to the semifinals and securing a podium finish, the national team secured qualification for the 2027 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship.
