SSRU, the evening of Loy Krathong is one
of the most picturesque festivals at
Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University.
It’s when staff, students and
family gather around pond to pay
respects to the goddess of water by
releasing beautiful lotus-shaped rafts,
decorated with candles, incense and
flowers onto the water. Associate
Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon,
President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat
University presided over the ceremony,
along with Mrs. Thobeka Dlamini,
Chargé d' Affaires, The
Embassy of the Republic of South Africa,
charge d'affaires of the South
African Embassy, executives, faculty,
staff, students and communities
surrounding the university attended the
event.
This year
"Lisa", a Thai-German born and
a student major in Dramatic Arts and
Creative Entrepreneurship, Faculty of
Fine and Applied, won “ Miss
Noppamas" Beauty Contest
2022. Besides, the Krathong Contest
winner is "The work is not big,
Gigi" team from the Home Economics
Department. Faculty of Science and
Technology, the 2nd prize is
“Krathong Ey Krathong Jai So
Tor” team from the College of
Architecture and the 3rd prize is the
“College of Politics and
Governance” team from the College
of Politics and
Governance.
